The distant dream-like quality in Jana's works speaks of yarning for peace, friendship and understanding, necessity to dispel the pain of loneliness, on a personal level; and on another level, of the loss and longing for continuity so common at the close of the 20th century. Her messages are conveyed very skillfully in the  faces of her subjects. Her creations demand a deep and lingering examinations as she explores the limits of her talents.
